There is a very small park with a sundial sculpture in it by Maymont. It has two or three brick gateways where doors granting entry to the park used to be.

When I went to Maymont a week or two ago to enjoy the blooming trees, I took note of these sad looking gateways.

So I thought I’d give this one a new door (with a window) and some color for the Spring.
One day, phone booths will be a thing of the past…But today I made this one - without a phone, in front of a vacant restaurant - a Loveline.

Happy Valentine’s Day from The Knitorious M.E.G.
I don’t usually hit the same spot twice. I’ve only done it once - and that was for a special occasion. But I’ve heard from so many people since Star Bomb’s removal last month that it made me think…
Star Bomb was up for almost 9 months, which is a really great run for a yarn bomb. Over the past month, I’ve learned that Star Bomb had vocal fans who are very disappointed about it’s disappearance from their daily route. So I decided my first yarn bomb of this year would be a repeat location of last year.

I hope that the fans of the previous Star Bomb are pleased with the sequel…

The Knitorious M.E.G. loves you, Richmond!
Last night my knit crew, K1-D2, and I went out for an end of the year ‘pom bomb.’

We hit Jefferson Park in Union Hill, which has a great view of downtown Richmond.

A nice way to end the year with my girls, me thinks!
The past 3 Christmases, my knit crew has done our version of Secret Santa which we call Knitty Kringle. This year my name was picked by one of our relocated members and best knitters - my dear ‘Knit Practitioner’ down in St. Croix.
So what do I, a Knitorious mad bomber, get for Christmas? St. Croix’s first yarn bombing (or at least, we think it’s the first)!

What an absolutely perfect gift for me - and one that other people get to enjoy, too!!! Thanks so much, KP!
You can watch the video she made for me here.

Wishing a very Knitty Kringle to you all…and to all a good knit!
Here’s my holiday interview with RVA News.
Merry Knitmas to Richmond from The Knitorious M.E.G.

I just installed my latest yarn bomb along tomorrow’s holiday parade route to hopefully add to the festivities. And besides, our downtown can always use some brightening.

This makes my 12th bomb of 2011 - and the completion of the resolution I made in January.

I do have a little more yarny holiday fun planned later this month with my knit crew, K1-D2…

What do I have in store for 2012? I can’t say for sure yet if I’ll make another official resolution or not, but rest assured there will definitely be more yarn bombing in the New Year!
